Fiesta Accents & Additions

Whether you are looking for some additions to your prepackaged Fiesta Party Box, or you want some inpiration to create your own South of the Border themed party, we’ve got you covered.

We are all about reducing party waste, so we have found this creative idea for how to reuse your pineapple shell for decoration after you’ve cut out the yummy insides for eating! Learn how to make a DIY pineapple cup, vase and bowl from Evite's in-house party stylist.

So we aren’t sure if this falls into the decoration category, but the way Whitney Bond has set up her “DIY Margarita Bar” we think it counts! We love the idea of letting your guests be their own bartenders because then you aren’t stuck (wo)manning the blender all day! If your guests aren’t drinking then make sure to add a few extra fruit juices or sparkling water options to keep things interesting. Plus, we think our Margarita glasses would showcase your guests’ creations perfectly.

This party addition will take a little bit of preparation and time, but the outcome is totally worth it and maybe you can even turn it into a fun family activity. While the shapes look complex, we were happily surprised to see that Brit + Co. suggests using standard geometric cookie cutters like circles, ovals and squares to get the sweet cactus effect. And to make your lives a little easier we highly recommend using store bought dough and icing so you can spend more time decorating and less time prepping!

Our last tip is all about adding color! We love how vibrant these tissue paper flowers are and they add a lot of decorative dimension without much effort. And again, we think this could double as a family crafting activity. If you have a certain color scheme for your Fiesta then you can be more selective with which color tissue paper you use, or you can follow the lead of blogger Amanda (aka Aunt Peaches) and use the whole rainbow!
