New Year's Eve Champagne Bar

Another year down and boy has it been a whirlwind!  Just three months ago Jess and I took a leap of faith and decided to launch our own business.  While we don’t have it all figured out yet, we are sure having fun figuring it out. For me personally, it has been an interesting year with many changes and while I am scared because I am not sure exactly where I am going I have also never felt more alive and optimistic.  One thing I can say for sure I am excited to wrap up 2017.

On New Year's my husband and I flip flop from staying home to going out and then remember why we typically stay home for New Year’s Eve.  There is something about spending the night in the comforts of your home with your little ones, friends and family to ring in the New Year.  But, there is a way to bring the party to your home and have just as much fun as if you went out – if not more!

We hand curated a fun little New Year’s Eve party box that is filled with everything you will need to have a fun get together at home.  From the most beautiful plates from one of our favorite vendors, Harlow and Grey, to shatterproof stemless champagne flutes, photo booth props to remember the evening, and countdown party horns – you’ll be glad you stayed home.

One of our favorite things we’ve been seeing lately that adds a fun twist to the typical NYE drink is a Champagne Bar.  It’s super simple and we are going to give you a couple of ideas on how to create one for yourself.

The Bar: If you have a bar cart it is a great way to designate a specific space for the bar.  If not, you can just find a place on your island or kitchen counter like we did.

Barware: Have your glassware ready to go when your guests arrive.  We used our stemless champagne flutes from our NYE Party Box.  Add some sugar to the rim of the glassware and thrown in drink stir stick and they’re ready!

Mixers:  Dress up your champagne with some of your favorite mixers or liqueurs. Orange and cranberry juice are always a good go-to, but if you need some ideas we’ve added a few recipes below for you.

Garnish:  Nothing says party like a cute cocktail! Fresh berries, mint, and rosemary are a perfect accent to your bubbly! They’re especially great for selfies and boomerang photos opps.  Don’t forget to set out a small bowl of sugar cubes to add the fizz back into any glass of champagne.
